With all the bad news surrounding the pub trade, it's good to see The Plough, Sandygate Road is 'fighting back'.
New in this week is Sky Sports (http://sheffield-central.com/ploughskysports.htm), together with an exciting new menu (http://sheffield-central.com/plough1/ploughmenu.htm).

Good luck to all staff there.

Pretty sure Sunday is 12 - 3 PM, Tues - Sat 12 -2 and 6 - 9 PM, and no food on Monday.

They certainly don't serve food from 11 AM, as they aren't open until 12 noon.

Whats with all these sky sports haters? and why? If you go to a pub with sky sports showing you arn't forced to watch it! Big up the plough for sticking thier neck out and getting sky in! Top boozer good luck!

..think I'm with you on that one, if I want to watch sport I'll do it at home!Yes, I tend to go to the pub for the conversation, not a loud noise!

The Plough had more people in at football time on Friday than they had before sky, so in that sense it's a success.

In the past they lost people when they didn't have football on, so it's a worthwhile experiment for them.

At least the management is testing the market, which is a bold move.

Never been the same since Paul left a few years ago. Was my local for several years and it's recent demise has been sad to see.

Great to finally hear that someone is turning it around. Hope the word spreads and it returns to it's fomer glory.
