I won't be. I expect to challenge for the play-offs. I am not sitting on the Kop all year just to put up with midtable.

I hate it when people make us favourites, it means we'll not even be top half!

I take it he only saw half a dozen games when he says we played some great football last season...

It's obvious the man's had his wife writing this for him, while he's off earning zillions on the radio.

United 1st!! I don't think even Captain Blade would predict that! Having said that, there were a lot of predictions in the press a year ago for Wolves and Brum to go up, and we would be in the playoffs, so maybe there's something in it... (yeah right!).

Has Fortune signed? If so, and with Walker here another year, the defence should be pretty tight again (as long as Taylor fills in ok until Naysmith's fit)... the goalkeeper is the worry though. Up front, when all fit, we're much stronger with Evans there than with C Beattie and Lupoli, and have shipped out Webber too... losing out on Lita may be a blessing in disguise, as it'll give Ward the chance to get games under his belt with Evans, after the suspension is served. Midfield? Well there's still Monty and... well we don't normally have to worry about midfield... :hihi: Looking forward to seeing if Reid and Cotts can cause damage on the wings too.

Playoffs... anything less and KB to go, promotion and him to stay! Lose in the playoffs... toss a coin.

Not at all, he has no Irish blood in him whatsoever! Yet I think he is still the most capped player for Ireland.

In a very irish way that makes sense :D

I don't think we'll finish 1st and still wouldn't think we would even if we had have kept hold of Naughton. However it's difficult to pick any 1 club who looks like they will run away with it - early predictions were Newcastle IF they sorted their act out and QPR IF they spent big and neither has happened which can only be a boost to every other team in the league. I predict another fairly tight league with the winners being no more than 7 or 8 points in front of 3rd place and about 10 teams vying for the play-offs up until the last couple of weeks.

To clarify, as an Irishman (take note all :D), Tony 'O'Cascarin' qualified for Ireland through his maternal Irish grandad. The thing was, his mother was adopted, and had no Irish blood at all. She did, however, have an Irish passport through the adoption, and so as she was an Irish passport holder at the time of Tony's birth, he was also eligible, and could play for Ireland.

Take it you're using "play" as in "picked" rather than in "football".

I *think* he was about 1 in 4 in international football for us, if not a bit lower, but then again, I *think* he was in the side who were all bugger all from bugger all against Liechtenstein all those years ago .....
