We've just had a Rapid Comm in work that the advice to put ICE then a next of kins number in your phone is the first stage of a massive virus. I'm looking for more info and will let you know.
Any one else hearing the same?

Hmmm........

Given that my mobile is as dumb as an MTV presenter, I doubt a virus would make and progress through my phone at all.

Sounds like a load of nonsense to me, and it does to these guys as well :

There are some truly sick f**ks around out there.

Fear Uncertainty Doubt! :)

Generally causing confusion - used to refer to the way in which IBM would frighten other manufacturers by putting rumours out about non-existent products.

I hope it's a hoax because I thought it was a good idea.
Crikey - We're having a wierd day at HSBC - First there's bomb scares and controlled explosions in our buildings then head office send out an email scaring us about phone virus's.

Roll on 5pm!

Eclaire,

Steady the buffs!

These are the times when rumours take a grip because we're all a bit rattled.

Take a long Dandelion Break!

If this is right then why has there not been a huge virus over 'Home' .. Am i missing something?

To re-iterate - this is definitely a hoax.

The ICE campaign is not the first stage of a Dr Evil inspired conspiracy to infect our phones with the common cold, or any other virus.

So any massive bills you get are due to YOUR telephonic activities and not some dodgy code.... :)
