Sorry everyone! sheffkim 29-07-2009, 11:14 I've been a fair few times with my other half and friends, we love it... Food was fab and the prices weren't completely off the scale.. Definitely going again dongle 29-07-2009, 11:14 cheers, when you search on google and on here it gets some good reviews, just hope it turns out ok when we go leviathan13 29-07-2009, 11:22 Please see above post by me. babybel 02-08-2009, 20:05 The place is intimate, cute and good food, definitely worth a visit :) Truffles 02-08-2009, 20:26 I love Piccolo's it fab, great food and atmosphere, i love his homemade tiramisu. Millsinho 03-08-2009, 11:33 I may have to give this place a try. I've been intending to for ages, but the trouble is it's so close to Bee Bees which is a very hard place to beat IMO! dongle 03-08-2009, 16:19 well we went friday and it was really good, although the starters took a while to arrive but it was busy and there are only 2 in the kitchen and 2 serving staff, well worth the money and we will be going again. HotPhil 03-08-2009, 16:53 For me, it's a far "warmer" place to eat than the numerous "italian" chain it-arrives-in-a-bag-and-we-just-zap-it places around the town. I'd recommend it. heavenlyarts 03-08-2009, 16:56 another recomendation 1000oceans 03-08-2009, 17:13 Went here for Valentines Day and had a fantastic meal. They originally seated us upstairs which unfortunately is not the nicest room really, more like a broom cupboard with no atmosphere but had no problem moving us downstairs when we requested to. The meal was gorgeous and the tiramisu was one of the best we've tasted. Excellent service and the head waiter is really charming. We've been a couple of times since and would recommend the steak and chicken dishes over the seafood dishes. The garlic bread picanti is a definate must. mrsmills 05-08-2009, 12:07 For me, it's a far "warmer" place to eat than the numerous "italian" chain it-arrives-in-a-bag-and-we-just-zap-it places around the town. I'd recommend it. From the couple of times I've eaten there I'm pretty sure most of Piccolos food arrives in a bag. Unless there was some other reason it was still frozen. woodranger 09-08-2009, 15:18 service was shocking wont be back!!! HotPhil 09-08-2009, 15:24 service was shocking wont be back!!!What did they say when you complained? woodranger 09-08-2009, 15:57 To be honest they were pretty good we got a free bottle of house red and they didnt charge for deserts but i am very stubborn. Ousetunes 10-08-2009, 13:36 We've been a couple of times since and would recommend the steak and chicken dishes over the seafood dishes. The garlic bread picanti is a definate must. Been loads of times and always, well, nearly, enjoyed it. The garlic bread is IMO the best in Sheffield and we've always been treated well (Jose even remembers my name, even if I haven't been in in 12 months). Decent wine list, lovely steak but I do feel both the portions have been reduced while the price has gone up over the last 10 years (but, c'est la vie). Agreed with the upstairs 'broom cupboard' though. It's very dull, a bit like an old school classroom and with similar smells. On a good evening though, it's a 9 out of 10 place for me. |
