Hey all you Sheffield-ers (and everyone else), who knows of god things to do this saturday.

My sisters over from wonderful Skeggy and I think I know what we're doing Friday....

Now she much prefers a boogie to Grease songs and Tainted Love, while I just lurve my funky house n dance... only way I'm gonna get away with Dance is if she recognises it - so popular funky house would be best. (But please don't suggest Kingdom anyone - my ex threw a tantram every time we went out - if I wanted to go anywhere but there!!!! Strange boy indeed.)

However, I can enjoy myself wherever / whatever ... so was thinking of Leadmill as middle of the road. While I don't think she'd have appreciated Headcharge last week - I do think she needs indoctrinating into what a decent club night out is.

She's stuck with SkegVegas - which is good for a laugh - and BOSTON - which will probably make you cry, and apart from a few 15yr old nights out in Nottingham before we left that's about it.
Ooooooooooops - slap my wrist - add Manumission and a few mental nights out in SanAntonio WestEnd to the list (I really don't give her credit where it's due, do I?).

Anyways if any of you have got through all that waffle and understood what I'm asking for, and have any ideas ..... post a reply and find us something cool to do.

(I KNOW she's gonna make me go to Meadowhell on saturday and do loadsa shopping.... and I really hate it, I DO YOU KNOW.)

Cheers ya all

Start at the Harley, 334 Glossop Rd. A great place now under new management, they can get q buster tickets for the big clubs. They even have rooms at reasonable prices.

Good drinks offers and decent music

Every Saturday Night in Genesis:
Asha Promotions Present 'LOCAL HEROEs'

So whats that all about then..?

Every week we invite a guest DJ down to Genesis, who is from the local area, to play out to the club for an hour, The music policy is 'anything goes'.

The night has been running for 5 weeks now and we have had a massive response from aspiring bedroom DJ's across Yorkshire and Derbyshire, the quality of music has been fantastic, with most guest DJ's promoting the local underground scene of Sheffield, which is the sound of UK Speed Garage.

The night is going from strength to strength,
Music Policy: UK Speed Garage, Funky House, Old Skool, All House.... Plus each Local Hero brings their own style each week.

Who's on when....

Sat 6th Dec we welcome DJ Lee, resident DJ at the 'Shoes' in Brim he will be dropping a dance anthems set.

Then the big one INSOMNIACZ is coming to Chesterfield for one night only INSOMNIACZ resident DJ Ian Barker Vs LOCAL HEROEs resident DJ Stefan Mabbott in a two hour Back to Back special, the nights going to start off very Funky but it's going to get messy as the real hard house is brought out to play... Arrive early we are going to get capacity on this one!!!!

20th Dec is the return of DJ Stanton with his 3rd installment of Baseline.. this is for all you Speed Garage and Baseline fanatics

27th Dec is our Mystery Guest.. iam going to give you one clue who it's going to be, the self proclaimed 'Chesterfields Finest'

Coming soon Local Heroes New Years Eve Birthday Bash...
Open till 4am......Guest DJs Cherry Jackson

I've just realised I have been to Genesis a few months ago on a stag night - quite possibly the worst nightclub I have ever been in :(

That's not to say that your night isn't any good music wise - I don't know I haven't been but after going to Genesis/Libertys or whatever it's called I don't think I'll ever go near Chesterfield night life again if I can help it.

Cheers everyone.

However, my sister drank so much Friday night that she was sick all night and the next day, so I never got any clubbing in.

The Pheasant (Barnsley Rd) was good (from what I remember), so I got one good session in this weekend. (Also bust my hand, apparently got lost and ended up getting a taxi home - I only live 10 mins walk from the pub).

You know the culprit is that bloomin' RedBull again, it obviously didn't give me wings..... It made me fall over, bust my hand and made me cry, get lost on 10 min walk home and god knows how we persuaded a taxi driver to take us such a short way - especially given the state we were in.

Anyways gotta go.
Anyone wanna suggest events to consider this Saturday, feel free.

Hmmm. Are you sure it was the red bull and nothing at all to do with that trick Agent Dan showed showed us with a straw?
