Hi all,it's bin awhile since I last posted anything on here but I've got sum news about my club :)
As of Friday (24th of july) allstar m.m.a became an official affiliate of Eddie kone,he's a great guy & is an awesome black belt :) if you don't know who Eddie is then check out his website www.ekbjj.com
This is a big step for myself & for allstar m.m.a Eddie will b up regular & we will be holding some very interesting seminars :)
I will keep people informed of coming events & seminars.

Allstar m.m.a train at graves tennis & leisure center on Wednesday nites 7.15-9pm & kangchul martial arts sandbeck way,hellaby industrial estate, hellaby,s66 8ql on Fridays at 7.30-9.30pm

All welcome to both classes,we hope to have another class running soon :)

never ever erd of allstar mma or eddie kone? who r they? only mma gyms i know of in sheffield are sheffield shoot and billy the kid

All Star MMA have been round for quite a while. I'd never heard of Eddie either so I clicked on the link :)

I teach more of the gound side of m.m.a u know the takedowns,grappling & bjj. I myself am a purple belt in bjj & have had 4 am(3-1-0) m.m.a fights & 4 semi pro(2-2-0) ones,I don't teach any standup(striking, & I'm not very gud at it lol) as most people do sum sort of standup & come 2 me 2 learn the grappling side.

So now u know pop down & have ago ur more than welcome :)

I have memories of the days when monkeyman and his merry men used to come and do bits of stand up with us ;)

hi sorry to sound like a idiot, but m.m.a is the cage fighting stuff yes?

but you dont teach stand up, so how is this different fron jujitsu?

what makes it mixed.

dont get me wrong i'm not interested in training and what you teach is your busness. it just stood out like a sore thumb when i read it thats all.

Ye I know wot ur saying & ur right mybe I should teach stand up but like I said am not very gd at stand up so y wud I teach it & the guys that come & train with me r after the ground skills so that's what I teach when I named the club I was doing m.m.a & it seemed like the logical name :) plus u put bjj in a club name & every1 jumps all over u lol

i think the link with one of the souths leading BJJ clubs and instructors will be a great thing. persoanally i cant wait for the seminars and to meet up and train with the other clubs.
