Hi, can anyone recommend a nice caravan place/b&b/cottage we can take our Jack Russell to for a couple of days in August.
I have looked on the sites for whitby/robin hoods bay and seem really expensive.
Thanks.
Happy Days caravan park in Skegness allowed us to take our 2 dogs on a break. We've got a jack russell and and a Yorkshire terrier and we saw quite a few dogs around the park so I'm guessing they allow all kinds of dogs as long as they aren't too noisy.
The park is situated so close to skegness beach it's lovely for a mini getaway.

Oh my gosh stay well clear of Happy days, Worse site in the skegness area. (do a search on them) I had a van on there but like many others have done before me I sold it and bought caravans a much better site, well lets face it there can't be any that are worse! Electricity is unreliable, it's like a building site for most of the year and the owner is plain arragont.
i have a pet friendly van at ingoldmells but it is booked all over august xx

My fiance's grandparents have a caravan down there they own, We've never had a problem and his grandparents go down regularly and have never complained either.
I have to agree about the building site look though, We was down there a few months back and it was the first time there for me so I just assumed it was being built up seeing as there was work men there on the site all the time.
We also never experienced any problem with the electricity either.
I think if you're looking for a place to stay thats close to the beach then it's not the worst place to stay.
I quite enjoyed it there so I wouldn't totally dismiss it.

There is a website that I go on and it's called Dog Friendly Britain. it has info on dog friendly beaches, dog friendly eating out, dog days out , dog friendly accommodation and more.
if you've got a car and can't get on a caravan site, Travelodge are worth exploring, especially if you keep checking the website and manage to book a £19 per night room. It costs £20 for the dog (regardless of the number of nights, one £20 fee only).
We use them every year and weve been all over the UK and stayed in some decent places for cheap prices -including pembrokeshire, cornwall, edinburgh, northumberland, lakes, brighton, north wales - even at bank holidays. We're off to Great Yarmouth and the Norfolk coast this year with the daft dobermutt. This one we're booked at has a 'bar cafe' so we'll be able to get a buffet all-you-can eat hot breakfast (and spare sausages for the dobermutt!) and food/snacks and drinks in the evenings too but we tend to eat on the hoof anyway when we're with Ailsa.
