View Full Version : What's happening with Western Park Museum?
Does anyone know exactly whats happening with Western Park Museum, it's been hidden in plastic sheeting for ages now!! everytime I go past - workmen seem to be walking around, diggers and cement trucks trying to park up.
Any info to enlighten us would be appreciated.

Dear Abdul,
Why not let us all know - so those who cannot be bothered to google can simply read it all from the site that is meant to be all about Sheffield anyway!?
But cheers anyway - will check it out.

I cant wait for it to open again, my kids love it in there. Hope they decided to bring back the bees :)
They better not have got rid of the moth-eaten lion, the bear and the sumo wrestlers with pubes.

Internetowl 18-05-2006, 16:59 Not yet, re-opens in the Autumn. Bigger, better and with more interactive exhibits than the threadbare stuffed animal.

Hope they've kept the bears
duckweed 18-05-2006, 22:23 Where do you get Autumn from? I haven't found any date promised, only later in the year. That could mean the 30th December. They don't seem to have a clue when they will be ready.

When work started, there was a sign on the fences of Western Park that sated the museum would be opening in the Autumn of 2005, later revised to 2006:o.
