Hi

You may have read my other post about my 1 yaer old lab Harley, who's been diagnosed with heart problems.

Were off to see the cardiologist in 2 weeks, and the vet told us it will cost around £150, which is ok.

But i'm just thinking for future reference, if he needs any extensive treatment or surgery, would I be able to pay in instalments?

It's the first time i've used the vets ( a crooks - Hackenthorpe), and can't call because they're closed. But if they don't I would move to another vet that would let me pay in instalments. Any reccomendations?

( P.S. we are insured with petplan, but it doesn't cover this illness as it occured within the 14 day waiting period)

Sorry to hear about Harley. My cavalier king charles was diagnosed with a heart condition in june,it cost us over£300 pounds in tests.
he is insured but only up to £1000 for each condition and i have a feeling they are looking for an excuse not to pay us as we have not been paid anything as yet.and his medication comes to £48 pounds a month so we will quickly reach the £1000 mark.
You can get the medication on the internet but have to have a prescription which the vet charges you for so that cancels out any savings.
Some vets do let you pay on account but if you have only just joined them maybe not.
Good luck with harley maybe things may not be as bad as they seem

I'd reccomend Broomhill vets. They are really nice and friendly and do allow you to pay in instalments.
