this morning around 6,30 we found a small dog with a harness if anyone knows who he belongs to hes safe but will have to inform the wardens unless the owner turns up

please inform the warden incase someone has reported it missing (its a legal req).you could also take it to a local vet that may scan it for you .Then you could contact the owner saving them having to pay the council to get their dog back

telephoned wardens they dont work at weekends the dog has a disc with a free phone number upon which they return you a tex saying the owners can get in touch but it appears the dog has no registraion the tex says contact the warden put it in local post office and on here just know someone must be heart brocken

you could take the dog down to pound if poss and hand it in there will be someone there, just an idea,do you know if its microchipped?

according to the free phone number no record is found at moment hes asleep with my dog looks like hes been out a while minght not be from my area but still hopeing he gets claimed cant take him to pound not that cruel but thankyou for replying

just heard old lady in thr flats opposite us apparently went out yestarday and fell down she got taken to hospital but her little dog is missing we live in jordanthorpe so dont know if its the same dog but if you pm me i will try and find out

did the warden /pound take details?

no havnt phoned dog pound and waren servise was automated said to phone emergency number and they will tell you where to take the dog but just had someone saying an elderly lady in jordenthorpe has lost her dog so im just going to answer there message thanks

apparently neighbour who realised dog was missing got no reply from the dog wardens number so a little bit in limbo at the moment i think its easier not to lose a dog in sheffield at the weekend due to no service in covering this area peoples thought would be good on this issue

from what i can gather its a tri colour yorkie but more golden brown about 18 mths old sorry cant find out if its male/female but does know that it answers to its name please pm me as i dont want to disclse its name on the forum and i dont know what has happened to the neighbour apart from the fact that she has been taken to hospitial

As other people have said the main thing as i ound the other week is to get this dog microchipped! Just cos the other dog says he isnt he may still well be. PDSA on brightside lane will scan him straight away, and if he is then the owner can be found straight away. Please take him to be scanned, its the best things to do. If he isnt then at least you ahve tried your best, but honestly its what needs to be done. :)

Peak vets in woodseats will scan him and they are open tomorrow moring 11 till 1
