I rented a flat in netheredge way back in 1983 which was arranged from the Landlords 'office' on West Street....it was above a hair dressers which may be still there, just round from the Old red Lion nr the City hall which closed many years ago.....just wondering if anyone remembers him, he had many properties all over Sheffield, an irish guy in his late 40's or early 50's (in 1983) named Brendon, possibly Brendon Wood(?0, and he had a brother who was in the same line of work. Bit of a pair of cowboys though, always covered in magnolia paint and with a hammer, which was the means of repairing everything that didnt work in their flats!!!!

.....the office was a right tip and he had a secretary who worked there.most of their properties were in netheredge, london Rd, Abbeydale Rd, and the 'bottom end of the student market'. Well known in the 80's for everything painted in cheap magnolia on chipped wallpaper and second hand cookers that were death traps and electric fires with silver paper as fuses in the plugs. Someone must have rented one of his flats, he had loads all over and drove a very posh car from all the rent he collected....
