A mate of mine just told me that "the Barrel" (recently under new management), has just branched out into Real Ale!!

He said that yesterday they had on "moonshine, batemans xb and farmers blonde plus a guest cider" - excellent!!

Also just a quick reminder that "Champion of Champions" beer festival starts tonight at the Commercial, featuring and celebrating winners of the Best British Beer over the last 30 years.

The festival in on all week.

Great news, the S35 area has been in need of another real ale pub for ages. Should provide The Commercial with some much needed competition!
