Has anyone been watching this? I missed the first two, how I don't know, it's excellent, I think. It's about Ben Fogel and two other companions undertaking a racing expedition in the antartic to the south pole.

Anyway, I've really enjoyed catching up though iplayer... and a recommendation for anyone who likes outdoorsy/adventure documentaries.

Oh God those feet, poor man!

I think, after watching the last episode, second was quite respectable (the Norwegians know their snow). And I have to say, considering that Ben Fogel being teamed up with a doctor and an olympic athelte: when it came to endurance, taking care of your body, resourcefulness, and spirit...Ben Fogel shone through.

I think he's a hardy, cheerful, politely tough character for certain.

I was so pleased that they came second. It was also interesting to see that it was James Cracknell who actually struggled the most. I love ben Fogel

Ben, James, and Ed did a fantastic job. Given that they were absolute novices with regard to Antarctica, and the comparatively little training that they did prior to going, I think they did an outstanding job.

I did fear for some of James' irrational decisions, given the state of his body, and for the decision by the rest of the team (Ben & Ed) to allow him to continue. (Ben even apologised on camera to James' wife Bev, for allowing him to continue. It also surprised me that the emergency medical team sanctioned his continuance in the race. His ailments could have spelled disaster for the team in so many ways - his irrational decision to forge on through the glacier field without roping could have proved fatal for all three adventurers...

One day, we might not be second to the Norwegians, our day will come - I would like Ben to have another go at some point in the future, accompanied by two others. With the right amount of training together, and a solid team, I reckon we could have the Norgies for breakfast :)

Well done to all three, and to the BBC for providing and entertaining and analytic account of the teams efforts! - Quality TV!

It was a brilliant programme but i don't think James Cracknell came out of it very well. It didn't take long to realise he's a bit of a cock.

He had a go about Eds mental attitude but then went on to jepordise his own health and then in the crevasse field the lives of his team mates.

How could he be like that when he has kids.

Its alright being driven but there has to be a balance.

Great programme and glad in a sick way that James suffered a bit as his attitude to the other two was poor. Good old Ben who did the least training came through the best.
