i have an acer aspire 5315 with built in webcam ect, im thinking of buying/ pre ordering a copy of windows 7 £69 out of littlewoods, and i was wondering if i will lose my drivers to the webcam on the laptop, and will my partition of windows vista (to return it back to factory settings still be there or will it be erased?) thanks for looking.

just done it and says i can upgrade just 1 issue that windows 7 doesnt have that i dont use anyway is parental controls and windows mail, so been as it said i can upgrade does that mean i wont loose any of my drivers for webcam or Acer Erecovery management?

Microsoft has said on wednesday that the code for windows 7 is to be released to all the major OEM's (Acer being one of them), so by the time it is officially released all manufacturers should have compatible device drivers etc.

oh right cheers for that but unfortunatly littlewoods are now out of stock so i cannot pre order a copy just my luck lol

See if you have installed on your laptop the 'Acer eRecovery Management' utility. It will create an entire backup of your system on to DVD so you can roll back no probs.

i have but for some reason when i try and do back up it says that there not enough space on my D drive with is the Dvdrw/cd combo drive
