Buy a book, go to a library, search the net and get some real info before you even think about getting any of these specialist pets. Here's one tip for you - make sure the snakes will not eat the lizards!

Well a simple Google for vivarium seems to throw up a lot of information, and advice.Your first post seemed to be asking for a lot of what seems to me very basic information.

just read your reply from some sarcastic fool, i don't think there was any need for the reply he gave you. By the looks of it you were only asking for some advice not sarcasm

If you go to the Sheffield Exotics pet shop or the Snake shop they have up-to date books on specific animals.

It's a bit of a vague question. What snake/lizard are you talking about specifically? I know a lot about water dragons, corn snakes, chameleons and Bosc monitors, because I learnt a lot from books and the Internet before getting them as a pet. What would you like to know?

I have several wild Geckos in my house, along with a Tuke (pronounced "Two kay" - the Thai nick name on account of the noise they make) or two, probably a snake or two in the garden, and, although it's not a reptile, I even had to evict a rather irate scorpion from my bathroom last week (those buggers hurt!)...

Anyway, they seem to survive on most insects, and even each other - although they don't seem to be too interested in the ants that are slowly taking over the bathroom. I love living in the jungle! :)

Your best bet may be to have a look at http://herpetology.com which has a large repository of information. Also search for any herpetology forums - there's probably a few good ones around, and a lo of experts who can point you in the right direction. :)
