My own personal favourite has to be the mighty Reo Speedwagon's early 1980's opus;

How about Stevie Wonder's, 'The Secret Life of Plants'? A terrible title for an almost supernaturally bad album. We have Viz magazine to thank for alerting us to Gilbert O'Sullivan's, 'Singer Sewing Machine', the title of which, believe or not, is intended as a pun on 'singer songwriter'. Almost worthy of the BBC, eh?

... Now does that mean ...

But most tedious and misdirected are the albums which are entitled Greatest Hits when the album contains that person's or group's only recognisable top ten hit padded out with around 11 other songs, one of which - the follow-up to the 'smash hit' made number 43, whilst all the rest you've never heard before nor for that matter, want to hear again.

Lena Martell - Greatest Hits. It'll be out there somewhere.

'Bummed' by Happy Mondays always struck me as infantile, and stupid. 'Thank Christ for the Bomb' by the Groundhogs too is plain daft.

Indeed it is. So is 'Tales from Topographic Oceans' by Prog Rock band, Yes. The lyrics, by Jon Anderson, are even worse. I read recently that Rick Wakeman and other members 'hadn't the foggiest' about what Anderson was singing. What a pretentious load of pseudo-classical hogwash that project was!
