View Full Version : Reminder! - cats street party, sun 2 aug
1100-1700, Terminus Road, behind the flats opposite Wagon and Horses, at the side of Millhouses Park, proceeds to Cat Abuse Treatment Society.
Fingers crossed for good weather!
Raffle prizes, tombola for both adults and kiddies, great handbags, cakes, plants etc.
Ooh, plants too? Great stuff. You still need cakes making or are you inundated?
Hi Joey, no, am def not inundated. Would love anything you can offer. Have got plenty of people say they can eat cakes, but not many can actually bake them, me included!!
The plant stall will be good. Nice couple who are animal crackers. x
No problem, I love baking. I'll arrange to get them to you either on the day or the day before.
That is great, thank you so much. x
helenasq 22-07-2009, 22:12 I'm looking forward to it. Think it will be a great family day. Was chatting to Karis about it yesterday when I went to see Harley(and Zach of course):)
Thanks so much Helenasq. Am going to see Karis this am to fetch back the raffle prizes he's been storing for me. Am always worried that no one will turn up but at least there's Joey, Karis and the Asq family coming. Good start! Spread the word. At least there's the lovely Millhouses Park with its great facilities nearby if the kids get bored!
Look at these Joey! http://www.cats.org.uk/catsforkids/media/CakeRecipe.pdf x
Can I just say: there are no finer words in the universe than:
Do you need more cakes baking...
You can never have too many cakes. And I will be there.
More important, You can never have too many handbags.
You might have gathered, we have a handbag stall!

lyndsayx 24-07-2009, 18:58 I am just down the road and can make a cake or two, if you can collect? Doubt i will make it though as i'm not fully mobile at the moment.
Moonbird 24-07-2009, 19:44 Aww Magsie it's so far away and I have no transport I was hoping that with C.A.T.S being local it would be in this area...how come it's so far away?
Still hoping that my stuff comes out of storage in time and see if you can use anything as I've no room now for lots of stuff.
Nothing good ever happens round here
It's at Millhouses, Moonbird, cos the supporter who lives on Terminus Road has volunteered to organise a street party! Being at Millhouses might attract some new supporters for CATS, hope so anyway.
There are regular buses that go up Abbeydale Road but I'll ask forumers if anyone is motoring from your end who may be willing to give lifts.
Ah, you must come one way or another! Will get on to it love xx
Lyndsayx - thanks for your kind offer, have pm'd you, brill x
lyndsayx 25-07-2009, 17:10 No probs, it will give me something to do. Let me know when you plan to collect and i'll have them done as fresh as possible :)
