A) whatis keith edwards doing commenting on the official site, is an employee now? i want comments from the management -not a former player.

B) don't you think that it would have been better to sort all this out BEFORE the transfer was completed???

and finally- what do they mean the 'possibility' of players from tottenham? we have the possibility of players from man u- doesn't mean they will give them to us!!

im not convinced by this at all if im honest, i want to know how much we actually got for them- they have to tell the stockmarket anyway so why not put it on the official site???

Does any1 actually know how much Spur's have paid for Naughton on his own?
Or is it another of these indisclosed efforts.

they will loan him back to us because he is only 19, is still maturing and is one for the future- plus they already have a number of VERY good full-backs.

remember in a couple of years the premiership teams are going to have to have a certain number of home-grown players in the match-day squad- i think they are doing that with the defenders so they can still have the expensive foreign strikers.

Corker- no i believe its a 'package' but they will have to eventually declare it to the stock market so we will find out 'a' sum.

as for the loan players, who knows but i can guarantee that there will be some very interesting youngsters in there academy!!!

Tottenham do actually have a very good youth system like many of the other London club's, look at Arsenals for instance.
Are you still looking for a keeper as Ben Alwick is there he's a top keeper, a defender called Dorian Dervite who seems a good young prospect.
Don't forget Danny Rose who they signed from Leed's he was at Watford on loan last season and i cant see him getting in front of all the strikers at White hart Lane any time soon.

Parrett Rose and Townsend all played England U21 this summer. Peckhart, Jansson and Dervite have been playing at the same level. Then there's Bostock who should be coming through soon.

Form the first team squad, Boateng hasn't been given a number, Taraabt spent last season getting rave reviews at QPR, Dos Santos can't get a game and a cheeky bid for Bentley would probably be accepted although he wouldn't leave. Gilberto too seems to have no first team prospects at Spurs. Then there's Bale who's fallen down the pecking order and needs his confidence rebuilding.

I can't see many of them wanting to move up north from London, Tarrabats back at Qpr by the way.

If they're told their first team prospects depend on a successful loan spell, I'm sure a few would jump at the chance, however far away from London.

What I can't understand is why would Spurs sign a player for Xm and then loan him back to the club they originally paid good money to in the first place?

What I can't understand is why would Spurs sign a player for Xm and then loan him back to the club they originally paid good money to in the first place?

because he will learn much more playing every week in the championship than he will from playing in the reserves or youth team at tottenham.

i dont think its a new thing -its been done many times in the past

If he develops as Tottenham hope he will with another season as first choice full back at the blades, then they'll have got a very good young English player that they may have lost out to next summer when one of the big boys gets interested?

Bet you would have preferred Naughton back, Spurs sending him back on loan to United surley prooves that he's still to show what he can do.
I bet Naugton cost a lot more than Walker .

Bearing in mind Naughton's played around 50 games last season and for the under 21s, whereas Walker played around 5 games, then yes it's pretty obvious Naughton will be valued a lot higher than Walker.

With their current centre back injury crisis though, Walker may have been needed more than Naughton, what with Spurs collection of full backs!

Spurs have a massive squad, yet i believe have cancelled their reserve fixtures this year, so its makes sence to loan out players to get match practice. Uniteds new found friendship and dialogue with spurs puts us one step ahead in the race for possible loanees.

As for the transfers fees at present being undisclosed, spurs are a plc and will soon have to disclose the fees.

At least we know for sure Walker is back here this season, Redknapp's confirmed it on SSN. So if Killa stays, it's just a case of sorting out the keeper position, and presumably have the new kid Taylor at left back until Naysmith returns - not as bad as it once looked!

i understand from a tottenham fan that it might be Danny Rose

I wonder how many they can take on a seasons loan, If I were Blackwell, I'd take Robbie Keane, Aaron Lennon, Jermaine Jenas and maybe a few others if allowed.
