hi just wanting to know the best place to get tropical fish

threres a few good places in sheffield, you could try the one on langsett road near hillsborough or theres a new one near morrisons at ecclesfield, wentworth garden centre have a good choice, and theres one on elm lane opposite the fire brigade station near lane top.

the one in hillsborough has a large selection and very fair pricing

Personally I have never felt that the quality of fish from the one in Hillssborough (Sheffield Aquatics) was very good, and have had quite a lot of problems with fish biought from there.

I can whole heartedly recommend Fish Inc in Hadnsworth though. Very knowledgable manager, good range of fish. good quality and well maintained tanks.

if i was yu go on this site and ask a few lads on there they breed them for the shops and yu can get em far cheeper 1 of em is dave hallam

Keep a look out for fish auctions, this is where breeders sell on their excess fish. SVAS have their next one on Sept 13th at St Thomas More Community centre at Parson Cross.

Try Derwent Koi and Tropicals in High Peak Garden Centre at Bamford. Not the cheapest, but very high quality.

You can also try Fish inc on Finchwell close just off Handsworth Rd


If you are willing to travel try Wharf Aquatics at Pinxton near Alfreton

I get all my fish from these two and Derwent Koi and Tropicals

I have had trouble with fish bough from Hillsborough aquatics too. Try Elm lane.

And I've basically had fish from every single fish shop there is.

I go to Dobbies sometimes... there pretty good. I also go to Wharf Aquatics at pixton, there good but not as good as they used to be. plus since theyve added more tanks there prices have gone up.
Fish Inc are good, i get alot of fish from there.

Aqua Hobby in Heeley gets my vote too - it is great to see the fish in such fantastic habitats, instead of small barren tanks.
