Anyone know where to get the lovely sumac-based middle-eastern herby niceness in Sheffield?
Can get it online but delivery costs as much as it does and I'd prefer to support local.

I believe there's a Lebanese shop at Spital Hill (next to the restuarant) that sells bags of it for a couple of quid.

There's a guy that sometimes does the continental and farmers markets, selling some rather nice olive oils and zatar, though the latter is a bit expensive.
See Here (http://www.terra-rossa.com/extra-virgin-olive-oil/index.asp)

I'll be OK for a bit as we're are recently back from Syria and Jordan where it was about £3 a kilo for the good stuff.:)

There is the Al Zahir store on Carlisle Street which is just off Spital Hill.

I also recommend the food from the Al Zahir restaurant/take away next door. Good value and tasty, I've been going for the various wraps they do since it first opened.

Just thought I'd update.
Asked in Beanies and they decided to get some in about 3 days later!
Brilliant!
Made by palestinian company (zaytoun) who also do olive oil.
Lovely stuff.
