Why not check out our database in the link below. In the drop-out menu you'll find a list of Dance classes and groups. I'd recommend looking under 'Dance- Traditional and Contemporary'- there are over 70 groups. The advanced search will allow you to see whats going on in particular postal districts. Hope this of some help!

City-Limits offers Northern Soul nights once a week the next one will be on Aug 7th. It's from 8 pm but most people don't show up till 9 or so. Even to come and take a look at it and maybe connect with a few of the pros there. www.city-limits.co.uk for directions

Sharon Finch at Danceology in Huddersfield if you can get there? She runs one-day workshops as well as practice nights, etc and is very involved in the scene generally. Can't recommend her highly enough, great teaching style and very much knows her stuff
