Will sun flowers grow if i plant seeds now?

If we were to have a better summer from now on, you might just get away with it, especially if you provide some heat to help germinate.
If you're after tall ones, you might struggle to get them to flowering point in time for the shorter days as they generally take 60 odd days from sowing to flowering. Watch out for slugs and snails.

must add, I planted soem sunflowers just last week, they are about 6 inches high already, I did get giant sunflowers seeds for 50p from wilkos.

I planed one back at the star of June, and its a few feet high now, the flower is just starting to come out and its only small and closed at the moment, hopefully if we can get some sun it will do alright and last a few months!

my kids planted some and they are about 3 ft high now, they love it
