with the season only 3 weeks away , would owls and blades say their squads are stronger or weaker than at the end of last season ?
do the summer signings so far looks good signings ?
Or have players sold left a massive hole in the squad ?

Wednesday are a bit stronger yes (could do with a striker though)
United are weaker if the Kyle's leave.

I'd wait a couple more weeks to ask this question.
As of today's date, the Blades still have Walker and Naughton (and Kilgallon) on their books even though it's almost a formality that Walker and Naughton will be leaving. Depends who comes in doesn't it?
It's too early; there's a lot of activity going to take place in the next few weeks I'm sure.

I think you know the answer to this Mr Benn and this is just another wind up aimed at United fans. Once the 2 Kyle's leave we are considerably weaker as they are our best 2 players. It depends on how (and if) we spend the money as to whether we will be weaker come the start of the season though. If we bring in 4 quality signings we could arguably be stronger but we need to act fast.

I disagree.
Were Kilgallon to leave, then yes, we'd be whole lot weaker.
Full backs are replaceable, centre-backs with experience less so.
And like I said, it depends on who comes in.

If latest reports are correct, Ched Evans will be signing early in the week.

Kilgallon would be a major loss, I agree and I would really start to worry about us if he went. However there are only 2 ways we cannot be weaker by selling the 2 Kyles:
1, Bring in 2 replacement full backs of the same quality or better. This is never going to happen as we don't have the resources so we are definitely going to be weaker at right back next year (not necessarily as a team).
2, We strenthen thoughout the team with 4 good players meaning that as a team we are better overall but at right back we are weaker. This is a possibility but in reality we would need to be spending all of the £8 million (I still can't believe this is looking like being the figure for both of them aaaarrrrrrrrrrgggggggggh).
My guess is that unfortunately neither of the above 2 will happen:(

I'm fairly glad at this then but I am not sure about 20k a week (if it's true).

After recent transfer activities, i'd wait until he's out on the field at Middlesbrough on the opening day before counting your chickens!
