View Full Version : Who will win the premiership this year
ReginaldD 16-07-2005, 23:26 The season has'nt started yet, so put your neck on the line. C'mon who do you think is going to win and why. I can't see past Chelsea myself and unless Arsenal get a replacement in for Vieria soon they'll struggle to get into the top two in my opinion. Or maybe you think someone else could win it, what about everton or even wigan?
Chelsea get my vote too.
With the addition of Essien (sp) and Wright Phillips and hopefully a decent striker, they will be unstoppable.
I voted Manchester United even thou i don't like em i dont think they will go through another season like before
My gut feeling is to go for Arsenal even though Im a manc fan, but if we bring in Ballack then I think we are well equipped this season to have a go for the title.
Chelski have to be up there though.
bobsyouruncle 17-07-2005, 14:59 As a man u fan too, i'd like us to win something this season, but my money's on Chelski to retain the title.:gag:
bladesgirl 17-07-2005, 15:08 yep me too i think chelsea will win it again :| :|
SpiderPete 17-07-2005, 17:47 Chelsea for me as well, but expect a dark horse to be up there this year. I sense another "Everton" team to pop up.
from my heart i feel arsenal will win
from my brain i know for a fact chelsea will win
sorry but i think Chelski
Agent Gypo 28-07-2005, 17:19 The only contenders are;
Chelsea - stronger than last season too.
Arsenal - weaker than last season.
Man Utd - weaker than last season. Giggs, Scholes, Keane and Neville aren't getting any younger either.
Liverpool - haven't really made any progress, no way are they going to challenge for top spot.
Newcastle - no chance
Everton - no chance

Well you could say that they have recovered from multiple injuries from last season.
Will not bet against them.

Where's the box for Everton please? You seem to have put the wrong team from Liverpool into your poll, we finished higher than 'themlot' last year remember!
Of course the Toffees will romp home by a sizeable margin as winners of the Premiership, Tony Blair will stop telling lies,I'll get a new job as a pornstar on 100 grand a week and income tax will be abolished, it's going to be quite a year.
Crikey must stop smoking spliffs in the afternoon........Chelsea mate nobody to touch them at the moment!
WIGAN!
Id love to see the big boys in the prem put in their place, other than them id like Newcastle or Everton.....
but it will probably be the money bags again:suspect: Chelsea - Arsenal - Man Utd
Id put my money on? CHELSEA
Ousetunes 03-08-2005, 10:35 Probably - groan - Chelsea. If they do, can't they just have their own league and leave the serious business to the other clubs?
Liverpool look stronger with the arrival of Zendin - a great crosser of the ball and he gives the team more balance. I'm probably in the minority here, but I reockon Crouch is a good signing - a better player than many people think. They could be a good bet for a cup.
Man U will still be strong - stronger than Arsenal I think. Should Man U sign Owen then they would be real contenders with both him and Rooney playing up front.
As for the likes of Newcastle - don't make me laugh. They are serious relegation material and you just know that Souness is going to have many a sleepless night this season.
I also feel that Everton's season, last time, was a one-off although I have to admit Moyes has worked wonders there.

No, no, no Mr Gyp!
We are not weaker than last season at all.
We have 2 decent players come into the squad this year in Parkie and Van Der Sar.. we only need Ballack and Owen now to take the crown from chelski.
Chelski are over doing it by bringing in too many midfielders for a start and if they bring in Shevchenko I am predicting right now a major **** up for the team.
You cant have a player like Joe Cole sitting on the bench and I thoroughly think SVP has made a **** up joining them.
If they get Essien, that will throw the whole plan into chaos for me and to be quite honest- and I am being a bitter spiteful old sod, I will be quite happy when it happens as well because for me Chelski are ruining the premiership already.
