There's been a few that I have really rated over the years, but I always keep coming back to Siamese Dream by the Smashing Pumpkins.

I remember going to chesterfield for a night out....and on the way back my mate had a cd on in the car....and it was bagpipe music....he loved it. He got really excited when the theme from Star Wars came on! Very surreal!

Anyway my own choice is Parallel Lines by Blondie.

In the 1980's that one was played in our student house as we got ready to go out to Rebels or the Roxy.

The specials - the specials
The Jam - All mod cons
Nick cave and the bad seeds - The Boatmans call (although all of his back catalogue is superior to most of the crap being churned out by sub rate rock bands at the moment)

I think a truely great album is one that can still sound fresh years after it was released. I'm not sure many modern bands can say that. I love Oasis but even some of their stuff can sound a bit dated.
