I've always watched golf a bit when its been on tv and have always fancied having a go but have never had the oppurtunity. I just wondered if anybody knows a good place to go where they welcomes novices and non-members.
Much appreciated
Tiger to win the open
I want poulter to win, never going to happen
Why not start on pitch and putt and work your way up to proper 18 hole courses.

Driving range and course at Concord, I go down a few times. I'm no pro, but it's good fun.
Rother Valley Country Park?
Try Birley. The pro Peter Ball used to have 2 beginner type sessions Mon & Fri mornings during term time. Only about £3-4. Included was 9 holes after.
Be prepared to learn from good sources & practice!

there are hardly any good driving ranges or par 3 courses in sheffield -which is a shame, as im sure there is a big demand out there
you have to travel miles to get to a decent driving range
