Ok this is fairly self-explanatory. As we aren't having a Forum get together this month, do people fancy getting together for a "christmas party", maybe at the classic rock bar?? Vote yes or no just to give an indication of interest. Thanks!

Yay! No problem by me........house doubles (35ml big shots) for £2 and free mixer. Alcopops for a quid. Real ale on hand pull. Lets do it.

I'm having a fancy dress birthday party on December 15th (Monday) at the bar - some spontaneous guitar playing may happen then. That could be a good date. There'll be a free buffet on then.

Haven't really been around long enough to meet everyone yet but I suppose there's nothing like a baptism of fire :)

Sounds good to me :)

I had to vote yes, just coz of the Vodkakakakakaka.
Classic Rock - stock up with RedBull as well please. I really can't stomache my Vodka with anything else.
Oops I have lunch Xmas do the day after and night Xmas do the day after that. Work may suffer slightly.
:P

I know its July - but it takes sooooooo long to get so many people to agree about stuff - you have to start early!

I've been addicted to SF for a long, long, LONG time! :hihi:

Martin_S was an early member of SF and contributed a great deal while he was an active user - one of the regulars until he left.

I nearly fell for it then noticed the proposed venue - The Classic Rock Bar - long since closed down and now demolished :(

Was a great place :)

Talk about the heart of christmas,
Talk about the reason and the rhyme.
Talk about the sentimental feelings,
Talk about the candlelight and wine,
Talk about the children.

Listen to the voices singing.
Listen to the laughter as they play
But listen to the whisper of a heartbeat
Whose loneliness is never far away.

(chorus)
In some hearts it's never christmas,
But it's winter all the time.
All our lives spent waiting for the sun,
Children of tomorrow,
How they need a star to follow.
In some hearts it's always winter,
For some hearts it seems,
That christmas never comes.

Don't forget the winter's children,
Shadows on a star that never shines.
Looking for the love that never happened
Looking for the chris in christmas time.
The lonely voice,
That can't rejoice,
That has no choice.

(chorus)
In some hearts it's never christmas,
But it's winter all the time.
All our lives spent waiting for the sun,
Children of tomorrow,
How they need a star to follow.
In some hearts it's always winter,
For some hearts it seems,
That christmas never comes.

(chorus)
In some hearts it's never christmas,
But it's winter all the time.
All our lives spent waiting for the sun,
Children of tomorrow,
How they need a star to follow.
In some hearts it's always winter,
For some hearts it seems,
That christmas never comes
