Hi

My speakers now only seem to work when playing WMP files & downloaded mpegs.

There is no online streaming sound, as in Youtube, IPlayer etc or any Windows noises like startup & shutdown, in email alerts, new devices etc, nothing! . Although there is the chime when you have new mail in inbox though Windows Messenger!!

Ive tried all antivirus stuff, SAS, Avira Antivir, Spybot, Malwarebytes.

I recall it happening 1st after i downloaded a load of Microsoft updates & i had a startup issue where a pro on another site asked me to use Combofix!

I haven't a System Restore point early enough back.

Hope someone can help!!
