Does anybody know what is planned for the dam house site in Crookes Valley Park. I walk past it a lot, and they seem to have cleared it out and now there is scaffolding up - I would have thought the building was too far gone for repair?

So, I guess it's going to be a pub. It's also a listed building which is probably why they're keeping the facade.

Interesting that it's the council that is submiting the planning application. A local developer had the lease from the Council after Steve Hinchcliffe didn't get very far with it.

TBH, I think that it is a bit of a poisoned chalice. Nice location, but not much cop when you have to share the car park and the garden with the hoi-poloi :rolleyes:
