If your dog is a first cross dog for eg a cocker spaniel cross poodle is that more important to you when you descibe your pooch or would you say your dog is a cross breed? or 1st cross?
Is there such a thing as a 1st cross bred dog and does it make a difference? esp when a purchasing a 1st cross breed compared to a mix bred doggy?

tbh i do not think that these dogs should activly be bred. i love all animals but you can never be sure which breed traits it will end up with, that said the mangy mongrol is the best dog in the whole world to own and i would definatly be proud to say that its a mongrol too:D

I think that it really does matter what mix your dog is- knowing whether they have sight hound, guarding breed or terrier tendencies is really important to me.

They may all be dogs, but there's such a variety of size, temperament and needs that they can be as different as chalk and cheese, and that can be really important when taking them into your home and your life.

If you were to take on a mongrel which had a lot of border collie in it which meant that it needed lots and lots of attention and challenging to keep it happy and healthy then you wouldn't be meeting the dog's needs by not paying attention to that and as a result could have a bored, destructive and unhappy dog.
