Sorry about this, but I should have posted it a week ago when I finally found out after several enquiries that REDROOM has closed and has ceased trading; I had been wondering why it seemed to be shut even on the last few Fridays and Saturdays.
Anyone know the full story?
BTW, where is SPEEDQUEEN now held, if it is still happening every month in Sheffield?
red room is an absolute hole. how this place escapes criticism and the likes of players bar and embrace don't is unbelievable.

Redroom is completely different aesthetically and in terms of the events it held, to either Players or Embrace. Why you used those as comparison is anyones guess...

been once. thursday night. full of "chavs". very moody, and i'm used to events in SE london. will never go again. i seem to recall it being cheap though.

Fair enough if you've had a bad experience, but there were plenty of other nights on at Redroom, each attracting a totally different crowd to R&B - I think that's what they had on a Thursday anyway...
Just an update Re. SPEEDQUEEN. Don't panic, it's BACK, on the last Saturday of every month, but at a venue in Attercliffe:
