Anybody else any missing post.

My post count was 2003 this afternoon. I only noticed because it had broken the 2000 barrier. Now it has dropped to1885....... thats a lot of posts to drop.

Where do they go to? Who decides to delete them and why?

It's probably some very old threads that have been deleted to free up bandwith. Everyone who posted in those threads will have lost post counts.
I never knew how many posts i had so i can't check :?

That's exactly what it is. Old threads that are in things like For Sale, Wanted, etc. are deleted from the database to free up storage space on the server.

Apart from costing real money, leaving these threads in the database can cause performance issues for the software.

So we kill 'em off.
