It is possible that another wild duck will raise the brood as her own, that's what usually happens if mother duck meets an unfortunate end and there are other females around. In fact they quite often steal broods from one another.

RSPB don't deal with this side of things... I'm on the phone to my Dad who works for the RSPB he says the RSPCA are the only organisation that really will help. He recommends finding wild ducks to foster them aswell.

A lady has kindly offered to look after the little baby ducks. She owns ducks, geese and chickens and has an incubator so hopefully the ducklings will thrive. and be able to be returned to their natural habitat to live out their lives. At the moment they are very tiny .
Thanks again for all the offers of help,,, much appreciated

Aww glad that the ducklings will be looked after and released when old enough, it's great that you cared enough to help them :)
update on the ducklings
sadly one did not make it,it was the weak one out of the five, but the other four remaining, has settled down and doing really well, they are eating,on checking this morning one of them was sat in the shallow bowl of water, hopefully they will carry on getting stronger, will remain under heat for at least another two weeks, the thermostat has been turned down as they were getting too hot, once old enough and out of danger, they will be released back in the wild,as they are wild ducks and should not be kept in confinement, will be difficult to let them go,but will be nice to see them back in nature where they belong
pics will follow soon

Jon - what an awful thing to witness. I think it's great that you saved the others from an unsure future. Glad they are thriving. :D
