Can anyone recommend a gym in Sheffield? I'd prefer a gym that's pay as you go, or pay monthly but pay month by month. I don't want to get tied into a 3/6/9/12 month contract. I've been to Concord and I've used Zest at Upperthorpe, but (maybe it's me) I'm not keen on the atmosphere (too many posers but that's my opinion and before anyone says anything, yes I am aware there may be "posers" at any gym).

Hillsborough Leisure Centre? I was hoping to join a gym and wondered if it would be worth ringing around asking if there are any deals on i.e. 2 for the price of 1 preferably.

if you can pay as you go, or pay month by month, I'd certainly think about going to H'Boro as it's 5 minutes drive from me

alot of the big chain gyms wont do pay as you go, the thing i can suggest is having a personal trainer which u can then pay as u go, hope this helps

Greens (back of old Wards Brewery) will let you join without a contract and pay month by month. Pretty poser free, friendly atmosphere, high number of women members, has gyms, pool, jacuzzi's etc.
