A little bird tells me that page 24 is best avoided. Not a very good page apparently...

I read that as well.. but unfortunately, you have to be aged under 15 to buy it at that price, adults have to pay the full amount.

So.. send the kids to kwiksave if you want to save a few bob buying the new HP book.

I went down to tesco and got it for £7.97 for MrsPatchy... but unfortunately it hasn't me any extra favours as she is too busy reading the book now! :(

Sal22 It wasn't very busy but the staff had no idea. Some idiot opened the box of books half way down the line of waiting people so everyone started to grab them. Never mind I got mine and so did the little lad who had been the first in the queue. Happy reading

Patchy, are you sure Tesco were selling it? I was in there just after midnight and there certainly wasn't a queue at the book shelf.

I've been getting stuck into reading my copy.

I have been eager to get my hands on it since i knew it was on its way...

I 'm now wanting to get the final book, in the series, too. I wonder when that is coming out...?

Is this book only in hardback or paperback too,

as i rember i had to wait for the order of the phoenix one for my daughter to come out in paper back so it would go with the other paper back books she got in a pack edition.

Currently the "Half Blood Prince" is only in hardback.

I have both "HP & the Order Of The Phoenix", and this new one, "Half Blood Prince" in Hardback.

These sort of "blockbuster-y" type books usually come out in hard back first, then, later, in paperback. (the "Scarpetta" series of novels by Patricia Cornwell have all come out in HB, then have been published in PB.)

Unfortunately she might be in for a bit of a wait then. I seem to remember that it was at least 6 months (if not more like a year) before Order of the Phoenix came out in paperback.

Unfortunately I think we are in for a fairly long wait for the final installment. JKR says she's not even going to start writing it until at least the end of the year, and then she says it may take some time as a) she wants to wrap up all the loose ends and b) she doesn't want to stop writing it!

I'm going to take a guess at 3 years from now (it has taken her 2 years for each of the last two after all - mind you, I suppose she's had two children in that time as well!).
