Noticed that the Sheffield Lib Dems have launched a new wesite: -

www.sheffieldlibdems.org.uk

What do people think? I like the online poll feature and the online petitions. Hopefully it will get better and better as more information goes on.

Sheffield Labour (http://www.sheffieldlabourparty.co.uk/index.html)

Sheffield Greens (http://www.sheffieldgreenparty.org.uk/)

Sheffield Conservatives (http://www.reddin.plus.com/c4s/index.htm)

I hope that this provision of basic local information does not contravene earlier policy on links to political sites.
If it does, feel free to scrub it.

Well the first thing that hit me was the first photograph of person unknown.

He needs a new picture ASAP. He looks like Rory Bremner doing Micheal Howard. :suspect:

You mean Rory Bremner doing an impersonation of Michael Howard doing an impersonation of Daffyd from Little Britain.

The web sites a bit bright in an orangey yellow sort of way, apart from that it reminds me of a political web site. :|

It's what the MPs actually DO for constituents with problems that I am interested in. - My MP visited me yesterday as I had asked him for his help. He was very friendly and very easy to talk to and I did appreciate that he came. (My feet are very painful and I can't walk much.) Now I'll just have to see whether he actually does anything to help.

Only a bit yellow:o :D.

On a side note, you'd think a UK political party would host the site in the UK, not in Germany, so much for supporting UK industry:confused:.

Where does it say it is hosted in Germany? - I hadn't noticed that.

Where's information about what the local Lib Dems stand for, their manifesto, what they want to do in Sheffield etc? Surely that's the point of such a website, so you can find out more about them.

All I can find is 1 article (yes one), 6 news items and links to national press releases and other sites such as the council.

They even have forms for readers of the website to submit their own views and 'get involved', but nothing from themselves!!

Or have I missed something (I'll feel pretty stupid if I have).

Makes quite a big difference to say the Sheffield Greens, which has masses of detail on policy with a local manifesto etc.
