Sorry for sounding a bit thick but what exactly is a fly drive holiday?

You fly to the place and they rent you a car to drive about in.

not usually it is more of a go where you want holiday.Although hotels can be booked in advance if you know where you want to go.

You generally dont get Hotels included. You pay for these on top.

You pick up a car at the airport and drive wherever you want to go.

You could stay in one place or tour around using different hotels.

You buy a flight and rent a car all in one price - but it usually doesn't include hotels/accommodation, as it is usually a touring holiday, so you work out your own itinery.
