My own choice has to be Bob Dylans "Time out of Mind".I can`t get enough of that album. It won Grammy for best album of 1997.

I've got three versions of this. The original vinyl, a double cd with a load of excellent demos and the Deluxe Edition. The latter one is my favourite, because the bonus disc is a live show that was previously only available as a bootleg called "Elvis goes To Washington". Do I get my Elvis trainspotter badge now?:hihi: JordiEE 14-08-2009, 22:57 For me it has to be Thriller it was so differant to anything in it's time and thats what makes it stand out not to mention the auctual thriller video which is awesome. Thriller also had some great tracks such as Billie Jean and Beat it which im sure everyone has heard at least once in their life Michael Jackson fan or not. Thriller is also the greatest selling album of all time by a large margin so if i had to pick one album it would be Thriller xMJx Rah Rah Rah 20-08-2009, 10:23 Just One? Why stop there, hows about a whole list Here's a few of my favs : *NSync Celebrity, No Strings Attatched and there first one, Biffy Clyro, Puzzle Distubed, Indestructable Oooo, there's soooooo many!:D Ousetunes 20-08-2009, 14:09 Tough one this, but I'd go for George Harrison's triple masterpiece All Things Must Pass. It contains everything I could wish for, light and shade, mellow moments and heavier stuff. It's the ultimate chill album and it's one which has to be played in its entirety (with orange incense burning away). Below this there would probably be Strangeways, Here We Come by the Smiths and Revolver by the Beatles. And a Roy Orbison compilation and a Dusty Springfield compilation and a Bee Gees Greatest etc. Ooh, and what about classical? Dvorak's New World Symphony, Grieg's Peer Gynt or a bit of Rachmaninov or even Gershwin. Impossible! There's no point me typing them out again so the ones in bold, but to the classical list I'll add Mozart's Requiem, Holst's Planets Suite and Elgar's Cello Concerto. Also, as clichéd as it is, Dark Side Of The Moon. Oh, and Up The Bracket by The Libertines because that album means a lot to me. Sorry, can't pick just one! |
