View Full Version : Wednesday ticket prices to be announced tomorrow

I noticed on the website earlier that ticket prices are due to be published tomorrow.

I understand there will be three categories, does anyone have any inside information on what to expect or surprises they may have for us.

Personally I would like to see them reduce prices further for kids on the gate to below levels for Students and Armed forces personnel.

I don’t see any £10 games for adults though, could be wrong but I’d be surprised.

The more expensive the better! Can't be doing with any cheap matches or freebies!

I wonder if they'll keep the matchday prices artificially high (at least for now) to try and tempt some more people with the current reduced season ticket prices, and promises of cheap Premier League season tickets.

If there are too many lowish prices (£10-15), you can't blame anyone for holding onto their money and picking and choosing games.

The printing out of tickets at home is superb (and cheaper!!) seeing as i'm living down in Basingstoke at the moment this will certainly be used by me :D

Oh and it's about time we had the category system, paying £26 on the North Stand for a game against Blackpool etc was always a bit much!

I hope you are right cos we aren't going to sell many at those prices.

No £10 offers for us and children the same prices as military personnel!

do you really think that a club in 30million of debt should be giving away tickets as cheap as these?

One or two mouth pieces on this forum, who have stirred, baited and anoyed many of late must be feeling pretty ashamed this morning. 8 weeks of constant bitterness towards the Blades pricing policys.

United can afford the introduction of their price structure. Every thing Weds have introduced has been in the face of desparation. 5 dead line renewal dates, a 3 year allowance on renewals, and now £7 tickets !!!

Foot and mouth outbreak in S6 again.!! What next free ticket and a pie and free transport:) Buy one get 3 free:)

Stafford your having a laugh. 12,000 fell for your spin. you have another 28,000 seats to sell. fact is you could not even give them away at the momment. Oh you have tried that as well !! :) Classic:hihi:

Without mentioning DA exactly how is life good as an owl?

* You've sold 4k less season tickets than budgeted for
* You've not improved on a squad that finished 12th last year (in a stronger division as well)
* You've got fans painting your stands as you can't afford to pay a professional team to do so
* You've missed numerous dealings to get investment into the club
* Your debt of £28m is hanging around your neck like a tombstone and hasn't being reduced in a number of years
* You've got two of your better performers, Tudgay and Wood looking to leave
* No investment haas been forthcoming

Apart from the 7 points above life must be rosey.

You really do need a ban Mr B as you're nothing more than a wind up merchant, you've got 39k posts in a very short time my friend (i suspect a record for this forum by quite a long way) and 95% of your posts are rubbish.

Take a holiday my friend, read up on a few facts and figures, learn how to put a decent debate forward and come back then.............we're going to get to a stage when you're on everyone ignore list.

I don't see Purse or Miller adding much to the Wednesday squad, though their experince could come in useful but will Purse dislodge Wood, Spurr, Beevers, Hinds, my point is will he be anything more than back up?

As for Miller, i might have seen him play a few times for Ipwich, not a player that ever stood out and certainly not one whose going to make the sort of impact that will shoot you up the division.

Two average signings in my opinion, not ones i'd be delighted about as a Blade and not ones i would use the terms 'life is good' about......

I wouldn't say life as an owl is good, just a bit better than before "same ****, different day"

You repeatedly whined on the other thread you started that United we're upto something by 'letting 17-18 year olds pay children's prices'... and yet your club are letting in service personnel (who presumably are all adults) in for just £7 - it's on your own site.

They're just putting up the prices officially now as high to blackmail more of you into buying season tickets - if the large gates that LS wants don't materialise, he'll do what you did last season, and introduce cut price games as the season progresses. He'd be daft not to.

Well not a lot, the paid maintenence team are around the ground, groundsmans doing his job, the qualified electricians are on site. The ticket office is working well.
No not a lot :)

Business as usual. Thanks for asking.

why waste money on paying staff when a few loyal fans would do it for free? oh wait, loyal fans and sheff united in the same sentence haha, maybe not!

Should see the pitch at Hillsborough, it's looking superb

The look of a lush pre/early season pitch, a clean stadia and new taught goal netting. Really gets the juices flowing for the coming season.

Anyone who has visited a ground , to inspect their season ticket seat, and just sat viewing their hallowed turf, would understand. Fantastic .

yeh i went down for the seat washing experience!! yeh u use the laundry room to refill your bucket!!! the home and away dressing rooms were open aswell as the match officials room, drug testing room and press room - there was even a bottle of lynx shower gel left in the owls dressing room that i was so tempted to steal haha! you go for a brew and a biccy in the players lounge, probably walked up and down the tunnell about 15 times and each time it feltspecial even tho i was covered in muck and there was no hillsborough roar! i got some good pics of me in Brian's seat etc ... well worth it mate

oh and i tried to get into the Manager's office but it was locked!
