can any1 local to sheffield 5 do me a favour and format my hardrive
i will give them a fifer for it
it has the sata connections
not the old type u get with older hardrives
its a seagate 160 gig
need it complety formating so can put fresh copy of xp on it as its got currupt data

If you stick the xp disk in it gives you the option of formating.

you have to reformat to install a fresh copy of windows, (or at least the option will be there when you do it).

Hahahahaha. I formatted a Neighbor's hard drive, 80gig....took over an hour! Caddy - Laptop via USB.

just boot from xp and delete the partition,it will then promt you to format the disc.very easy and quick

Saved you a "fifer" too.
Just as well, really, as those Scottish notes are a bugger to get rid of down here.

On the plus side, if it did only take 5 minutes and for a "fifer" thats 60 quid an hour. ;)
