I would recommend Marco @ Milanos or Morans but send the kids to the grandparents! Forget town centre or eccy road... gemlouise01 07-07-2009, 09:54 Hi foxydon, I recently took my partner and I to Wasabisabi on London Road and had the teppan yaki. Its a bit pricey but we found it very entertaining and the food was amazing, if you like that sort of thing. (Just for the ones who dont know what teppan yaki is, its where they cook all the food on a big hot plate in front of you. Its great to watch and you get a lot of food, we couldnt move after our meal.) Hope this helps! 999nike 07-07-2009, 10:40 fish an chip shop in stannington LJB23 07-07-2009, 10:43 Cafe Rouge? LJB23 07-07-2009, 11:19 Yuk , better off with a maccy D. I've ate here about 6-7 times and have always had a lovely meal and great service. podins55 07-07-2009, 11:23 in green street is very good ;) dw82 07-07-2009, 12:06 The problem with threads like these is that, on the forum these days it's difficult to tell if the opinions/reviews or from other unbiased customers or well-disguised restaurant managers/owners! skinner 07-07-2009, 12:09 I've ate here about 6-7 times and have always had a lovely meal and great service. you must be easily pleased would rather gnaw off my own foot than eat in cafe rouge. they give chain restaurants a bad name plus they treat their staff despicably http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/2009/jun/28/restaurant-chains-scare-tactics-gratuities skinner 07-07-2009, 12:11 fish an chip shop in stannington I applaud your intelligent contribution to this thread. Forget town centre or eccy road...I would recommend Marco@Milano's to a like-minded foodie friend who doesn't mind spending a fair £££, but in this case I'm guessing it wouldn't be the OP's sort of place! ;) Hmm... Eccy Rd... Kids... Do you like Tapas? There's a 'La Tasca' on Eccy Rd that is kid friendly & good value... esp if you use this 50% off voucher... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/promotions/5636135/50-per-cent-off-your-total-food-bill-at-La-Tasca.html Or pizza Express? Tobey Carvery?? LJB23 07-07-2009, 12:24 You could also try Dam House warriormonk 07-07-2009, 14:18 The Mediterranean on Sharrow Vale Rd is very good. It specialises in fish dishes but does steaks etc. Went there for my sisters birthday. Food was very nice indeed...the puds were great. There were quite a few kids in there... theripsaw 07-07-2009, 15:51 Le Bistro Pierre - Eccy Rd. ukdobby 07-07-2009, 16:18 [ Do you like Tapas? Would vouch for Maros and Morans though. urmary 07-07-2009, 19:09 Anyone could recommend a good restaurant for sea food pls mummyb 08-07-2009, 15:00 Wasabisabi is nice. Loch Fyne is a fantastic fish resturant on Glossop Rd across from halamshire hospital a bit pricey but worth every penny. If you go on to their web site and join the mailing list you can get a £10 of voucher to use before the end of August. KATIEB_23 08-07-2009, 15:09 [ Do you like Tapas? Would vouch for Maros and Morans though. Yes, Cubanas is much more authentic... but I think they're after a place on Eccy Rd, and when I went there, there were kids on the next table who were given things to colour in etc BOHEMIAN 17-07-2009, 21:02 NEED A GOOD RESTAURANT TO CELEBRATE OUR ANNIVERSARY THIS SAT IN TOWM CENTRE, ECCALSALL ROAD AREA THATS KID FRIENDLY BUT DELICIOUS .
