Clockedit 15-07-2005, 11:56 Yes I agree. Especially the moist, slimy ones that make you slip underfoot. Think we should set up a survailence team to identify the owners and post their dogs poo back to them via their letterbox! Anyone with a cheap videocamera for sale? ilaria 15-07-2005, 11:58 here in tinsley people take their dogs for walks in park even round the blokes but do not clean up everytime i go to my mums house with my little girl i see dog crap on paths and people who dont look where they're going end up troading on it i wish people blooding pick up after thier dogs its disgusting and sick me and my bof hadron take our dog out and always always pick up after him and wish people would do the same. New pair of shoes on (Matalan £7.99), not cheap ones. Walking along, one freshly laid, underfoot, wallop. Didnt know until i got home and trood it all in the house. Mam went mental, took her ages to clean it upand scrub my shoes. Good old mums. Jillybabes 15-07-2005, 12:00 I started a thread on this a while ago now. I totally agree that all owners should clean up the offending mess when their dog has fouled. I myself am a dog owner and always clean up after my dog, even when its totally disgusting and messy I still clean it up. I hate to see people who let their dog just crap anywhere, on the pavement, on the grass just for poor unsuspecting folk to stand in it. There arnt enough dog poo bins around, even normal bins are pretty scarce round where I live so have to carry the poo home and put in our bin. Dog owners if you dont clean up after your dog then start doing so, you know who you are! Clockedit 15-07-2005, 12:05 Originally posted by EyeSpy Tell me about it! Does anyone know what happened to white dog poo? I'm not talking about dog poo from dogs with white furr, I'm talking about dog poo that is ACTUALY white! Found it almost acceptable to stamp in white dog poo. The kind, considerate poo that doesn't smell much, is relatively dry so avoiding splashes on ones leg is achieved, but most of all, is almost undetectable when wearing your brand new Hi Tech white trainers (£4.99 from Matalan) so not even your favourite trainers get dirty! BRING BACK WHITE DOG POO!! EyeSpy 15-07-2005, 12:08 Originally posted by Clockedit BRING BACK WHITE DOG POO!! Oh i remember that, used to be a joy getting it on a stick and seeing how far you could wangle it.:hihi: Clockedit 15-07-2005, 12:10 Originally posted by EyeSpy Oh i remember that, used to be a joy getting it on a stick and seeing how far you could wangle it.:hihi: Yes i remember that also! How far could you wangle yours? My PB was 21.2345 meters within an inch or two. EyeSpy 15-07-2005, 12:12 Not far, mine used to just fall off the stick as i drew it behind my back. Often resulting in a white pooh covered coat. Mum used to go mental, took her ages to clean my coat. Good old mums. Splodge_CRB 15-07-2005, 12:13 I think we all know who is to blame for this......check out the poo flinging thread and avoid town on Saturday..... Practise started early eh lads! youwhatref 15-07-2005, 12:15 Originally posted by Clockedit Yes i remember that also! How far could you wangle yours? My PB was 21.2345 meters within an inch or two. I think we're all too busy anding in it for it to turn white.!! RazorSHarp 15-07-2005, 12:33 White dog doo is unfortunately a thing of the past as the dog food manufacturers have stopped putting calcite / chalk into dog biscuits, so I'm afraid that the game of Pooh wangling has seen its day. Bummer!:( EyeSpy 15-07-2005, 13:02 There goes my idea of the annual Sheffield Forum White doog pooh wangling competition. Anyone for brown? Thank you, thank you, thank you! You have just cleared up a rather drunken discussion a group of us were having last weekend! Trever 15-07-2005, 22:19 The faulty gene brigade, I personally don't have this gene, therefore have no desire to be inconvenienced by having to drag around a potential baby-eater, shout all the time, have no consideration for my neighbors when it's barking all day at nothing but I don't care 'cos I'm not in, clean up its mess, and allow it to give me french kisses after just having licked its back-end. al_partridge 15-07-2005, 22:45 Originally posted by EyeSpy Blame the owners No, it's definitely the dogs. robbie 15-07-2005, 23:05 owners should be fined 200 quid now. the £50 fine isn't stopping it. stupid people. DragonofAna 16-07-2005, 08:03 The owners are responsible, and there are many more responsible owners than others, but the few give the many a bad name - as is usually the case. Increase the fine. Does anyone actually know anyone who has been fined yet? I have a dog and always make sure that if it makes a mess in the street I clean it up. I would not want my children trailing dog mess through the house. What we are really talking about is a growing problem in so many areas - the lack of respect and consideration for others. Strangely enough - my dog manages to hold onto the contents of its guts until it gets home to the back garden where it sighs relief and lets go. Does not seem to matter how long we are out walking - he always stores it somewhere until we get back. Even those areas in hillsbro' park set aside for dogs - no chance. He just keeps holding it in until we get back. If you see someone letting their dog mess in the street, stand and stare at them, and make sure they know you are staring. Its a guilt complex thing. Dragon AndrewC 16-07-2005, 13:10 I completely agree that owners should take responsibility of dog fouling, and should be made to clean it up. But i have to say I find Sheffield relatively Dog Poo free, compared to other places I've lived. |
