Hi, I can't see the board without registering on it. Can I ask where the horses on there are coming from and why they are on it please?

they from france they are on it because the owners cant be bothered to sell them they would just rather send then to the butchery there are 6 month old foals that have been bred for meat the minute they have been weaned off their mothers they go straight to the butchery. all horses on there can be vetted before you buy

I've registered -i wouldn't say that the horses were bargains to buy but i s'pose it's a worthy cause.
France has always had a booming trade in horses for slaughter, in fact loads of UK bred horses end up there from the sales.

I know a fair number of horses that have come from France, to all over the country. There's also another site that does this sort of thing, which I can't think of the name of for now. Most have turned out quite nice.

You can get some nice horses from there. But then again, you can get a lot of nice horses and ponies at the markets here that, with a little TLC, would otherwise go to the meatman. Including native ponies and foals.

The sad thing about the horses going to slaughter in France actually end up travelling to Italy before being slaughtered. World Horse Welfare (aka ILPH) have campaigned against live transport of horses for slaughter for a long time, and I for one support them!
