to be fair, it doesn't matter if it's in The Sun or The Financial Times! They've only posted the link to a video - it's not their story

however, i think it's the shadow from someone walking past the object which appears to be a lamp shade at the end of the hallway

Yep can't believe anyone is taking this seriously:!:

The dumb music gives it away!

It's just like all those other "ghost" or "Alien" videos shown on youtube with "The X files" soundtrack playing in the background.

If someone thinks they really have observed a ghost, either captured on their own camera, or that of a TV camera the last thing the that he/she is going to do is add some silly sound track!

If anything it's just a marketing ploy, just imagine how many fans will flock and pay good money to go try and catch a glimpse of "Jackson's" ghost!

syrenna, let's say you observed a similar "ghost" figure on a live tv broadcast that you were recording.

Now what would you do?

show the original video and perhaps add your own commentory on when and where the ghost appears.......or do you add a silly sound track:confused:

I can't see anything in the video really to be able to comment however I had the most whacky dream about him the other night.

I dreamt I was speaking to him and he gave me 3 tickets, top class seats to one of his concerts. They were green in colour. Next thing I was in a car park and some kids snatched the tickets from my hand and put them into a pasta machine. :o The 3 tickets then came out at the other end as green pasta quills which left me screeching my head off at the kids! :loopy:

i don't get all the fuss about the soundtrack! don't you understand that someone has just added the cheesey soundtrack afterwards for the effect? i'm sure there'll be other footage online without the soundtrack

imo, there's no trickery involved. i just reckon it's a shadow from someone else walking down the corridor at the end of the room

Actually I'll do it for you.

This is the actual original CNN footage without the stupid sound effects:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0jNWsSU7iU

It's much clearer:

Watch at 4:41 and you can clearly see in the door slit that people are moving about in the hall way , and then you see the lighting or camera set up in the far end of the hall, and then you see clearly the shadow of someone that is there perhaps working on the lighting or the camera.

The first clip of the blurry shadow you posted is silly, the original CNN video doesn't look like anything "ghostly" or "out of the ordinary"

Nope not really.

The Sun clip is blurry and whoever added the cheesy soundtrack clearly didn't watch the CNN footage properly or else wanted it appear to be much more "ghostly" than the original footage shows.

If you read my comments I didn't say the footage was tampered with, but just that the Sun footage with soundtrack makes it unlikely to be a genuine ghost, now as the CNN footage shows it's genuine alright.......a genuine normal shadow:rolleyes:

It's very much real. Well the video is anyway.
On line sales are starting to drop off now the false outpouring of grief is fading so a daft ghost video should help remind a few people to buy a few more bits of MJ stuff.

What about the wild prediction reported on SkyNews and elsewhere that Jackson was about to become the only artist in history to take all top ten slots in the UK singles charts!

After the first UK singles chart after his death Jackson filled exactly zero of the top ten single slots.
And yesterdays new chart still only saw Jackson fill 2 places in the top ten (Man in the Mirror No.2 and Billie Jean No.10)

So much for the hype!

Not to mention SkyNews reporting that 500 million applications had been made for the free memorial tickets.

It tuns out that only a half to 1.6 million applications had been recieved (And that figure included multiple applications!)

one of your original comments was...
"The dumb music gives it away!"
in response, all i said was the soundtrack was added afterwards for effect, or in other words, why does a cheesey soundtrack added afterwards (by the sun or whoever) mean that the ghost's not real?

you went on to say...
"Now dig up that footage without the sound track then.......... if you are sure it exists!"
after a quick google, you obviously found that the footage did actually exist and quickly posted a reply to your own message where you started to change the subject! i never said that you said the footage had been tampered with! it's quite funny actually

and finally, i said from the start that the 'ghost' appears to be a shadow imo

anyway, i'm not going to waste my time arguing with you as you appear to be one of those guys who'll go on all night about it

Now what exactly are you arguing about?

I think I already answered that one!

If you believe you have seen a genuine ghost on video then it's highly unlikely that you add a cheesy soundtrack, instead you might just add your own commentary explaining to the viewer just when and where the "ghost" appears.

Yes but in the context of post the word "ONLY" is pretty apt.

We were told that Jackson was about to make history by filling ALL top ten singles slots in the UK and that was supposed to be the Sunday after his death.

To have zero in the first week and a "ONLY" 2 in the second week is pretty much a damp suib given that "music experts" were expecting it so history making huge.

Not only that but they were his first singles to get into the top ten for over ten years, which to say he claimed to be the "King Of Pop" is a bit pathetic.

As MJ had clearly long ago run out of ideas, maybe dying was "a great career move", as the old cliche goes.

Fantastic achievement, I agree. The promoters and agents have done a fine job of hyping him to the point where a load of people who already own the records have bought them again. :loopy:

It's not often these people get a chance to exploit the gullible public so much so they have hammered it to death while they were in for a quid or million.

The poster is asking for comments, asking for debate this is a forum right?
The poster needs to show the incident (link) to allow others to talk about it.

Looks like you were wrong, as of yesterday charts (12 July 2008 ) Jackson has now actually fewer singles in the top 40.

Jackson has now singles 10 in the top 40, and only one in the top ,10 Man in the Mirror, down one place to No.3.

For all those people on here who do not like MJ yet are fixated on spending their time commenting on someone that they do not like, I suggest you see a therapist. Allow those who do like him to speak freely, it should not matter to you. Its very unhealthy to be that obsessed with someone or something you dislike? It usually arises out of gelousy or a dislike of self.
