Hi!
Has anyone been to that hairkandi on eccy road yet? I went yesterday and thought it was awesome. Didn't expect it to be much good cos they have got a 50% off deal but i am pretty skint so thought i'd give it a go!
The staff were cool, really relaxed and helpful. Plus it is fully air conditioned so i didn't feel like i was going to pass out when they started blowdrying!!
i had a full head of highlights and a cut and it only cost me £47!!!! The stylist was really good at doing my hair and i got to watch t.v and have a glass of wine in my chair whilst my hair was developing!
Total class!! get down there!

xx:D

p.s check out their web site. it's pretty cool!

Is it not? i'm clearly behind the times. only noticed it a couple of weeks ago!ah well!
i used to live up at broomhill and had my hair cut up there, my new student house is just off eccy rd so that's prob why i've only just noticed it!

Whereabouts on Ecclesall Rd is it? I used to go to Hairband but the girl I went to has left so I'm looking for another salon. I can't get into their website though.

I frequented Avanti on Eccy road at one point, but they charge an arm and a leg. I used to grin and bear it, but then one day their supposed colour 'expert' (not naming names) gave me the worst head of highlights I've ever had. They didn't go up to my roots, and the weren't even the same on both sides.

I didn't complain, I just slunk out slightly stunned. But I've never been back. Instead I tried Fresh Hair - a tiny little salon (blink and you'll miss it) on the opposite side of the road. The staff were twice as friendly, and my hair only cost half as much.

Oh, and it was possibly one of the best cut and highlights I've ever had. It looked lovely.

So for hairdressers on Eccy Road - I'd definitely try Fresh Hair.
