As part of my sons schools' centenary celebrations, they are being asked to dress up as famous people from the last 100 years for a party on tuesday.

I know this sounds pathetic but I just can't think opf anyone!! I know, I know, 100 years and I can't chose one person lol!! I need some inspiration. I need to sort his costume over the weekend and I have to do it pretty cheaply as I am really skint!

Come on fellow forummers ........... give me some inspiration!!

Thanks:thumbsup:

Well I can cut out the females for a start. Can't see many 8 year old boys wanting to dress up as Marilyn Monroe or Queen Victoria!! Can't say I fancy sending him to school as Hitler either!! Not sure the other kids (or him for that matter) at his junior school will know who Emeror Hirohito, Castro, Lennin or Idi Amin are. So that leaves me with Einstein, Ghandi or the Pope!!!

How bout Scott of the antartic?

Just get an old parka, and lightly spray it with white paint and 'fake snow spray', pair of swimming goggles and bob's your uncle.

Or Dr Livingstone - dress like lofty from 'it aint half hot, mum'.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Can I just stress that it has to be someone I can *easily* dress an 8 year old BOY as who other 8 year olds will recognise/have heard about.

Keep 'em coming!!

Simple, dress him like that (as you said) but don't forget to give him a six pack of beer also
