Going with 10 of the lads to Laganas on the 25th...

Just wondering if anyone has been and there is owt i need to check out while i'm there (if i manage to wake up before 4pm)

Has anyone been this year or last, whats the best clubs etc?

Also i know already not to get my arse out and moon any locals.

I have been and its a reallly nice place. Can't recommend any bars in particular, there is a long street with many many identical bars, mostly populated by idiots who could barely stand up harrasing and letching at girls! They were all basically the same so if you are planning on getting pished and falling over then stick to the main street and you can't go wrong.

I went to Zante/Zakynthos around ten years ago with the g/f (now wife). Liked it but a bit on the quiet side IIRC. The scenery is stunning and we went on a boat trip to this sheltered cove where there's a shipwreck half-sunk on the beach (the picture that makes EVERY Greece/Greek Islands brochure).

My lasting impression is of having eaten the most wonderful garlic prawns in a seafood restaurant I miscalculated how much to give as a tip.

It worked out that I'd given them a tip of something like £20.

It's no wonder they were forever more trying to cajole me into their restaurant every time I walked past!

Me and Mrs. M went to Lagana a few years ago.

The main road get's a bit busy with gangs of lads and gangs of lasses. The further away you get from the main drag the quieter it is.

Don't know whether it's still there, but watch out for the Chinese restaurant that's on the road that runs parallel to the beach.

Prices of main meals were reasonable, but they stung you on staple stuff like fried rice. We ended up paying about £20 for two portions of fried rice.

Kinda curious how this holiday went??? Recent articles in the National Newspapers suggest this particular resort is notorious for lewd, drunken and obscene beach parties and two bars called Baywatch and Medousa have been closed down by the Greek Authorities!!

Who can blame the Greeks...would we accept tourists coming to the UK and behaving like that on our doorstep...I think not!!

We went to Laganas a few years ago! Ugh! it was awful, might as well have been at Blackpool only I think Blackpool is probably cleaner. Good luck to you.
