The Forum changed servers over the last couple of days.
I knew access would be unavailable for about a day, but I continued getting just the first days advice page for longer than this.
It was when I saw posts on other forums making comments that I realised that SF was back up and running but I was not getting directed to the new server for some reason.
The problem was solved by 'flushing' my DNS cache.
However things work, my computer was insisting on going to the old Texas IP address whenever www.sheffieldforum was being used.
By flushing the cache, my computer was forced to look for, and to continue using the IP for the new server.
............. or something like that!!!
My point is ..... it is possible that others are still stuck out there in limbo and, if SF still has access to the old pages, they could add a bit of information that SF is back up and running and that anyone still getting 'this page' should flush their DNS Cache:
On your local machine, open a command prompt or select 'Run from the Start Menu.
Within the prompt, type ipconfig /flushdns
p.s.
After posting this, I was looking around again and I have a feeling that SF may have put up a redirect to stop this happening?
