I know phpBB is free, and understand have to pay for vBulletin (£100)

Im looking to start a new forum, and wondering which one to go with.

is it worth paying for the vBulletin? or just stick with the phpBB until i get the forum up and running then transfer across?

phpBB3 is much improved over the original, and I have to say I think it's on about a level with vBulliten

However, if your forum will end up the size of this one then I would go for vBulliten, if your only talking a couple of thousand users then phpBB would be fine.

size of forum, i honestly dont no obviously its got Zero members at the moment, and its aimed at a specific area. Still doing some testing before going live (although its online)

think il be lucky to hit a couple of hundred this year never mind a couple 1000

Ive hit one problem, which is stressing me. The text size when people post. It refuses to change, as if the forums cached and keeps reverting back (this is with PHP)
