Do WHSmith still sell water colours etc?

What about Meadowhall? Are there any shops that sell water colour paints?

there's an art shop on Chesterfield Rd, near the junction with Valley Rd, opposite Laver's old site ...

You could always try Pinders at the bottom of the moor.

Pinders on Moore Street (back of the moor opposite Wickes) is a decent arts supplies stockist but can be more expensive than WHSmiths etc.

Pinders certainly used to do a student discount too, if you had your pass or union card or something of ID

The shop on Chesterfield Road (I think it's called Art Scene) is like an Aladdins cave and has a very good stock of stuff. Far less impersonal than Pinders and possibly cheaper.

Isn't there an art shop on one of the side streets off West Street, behind City Hall?
I just can't recall any names at the moment.

There's a nice art shop in hillsborough but its a bit specialist. The woman who runs it is really friendly and very helpful. Its right next to the tram stop almost opposite the bank next to the co-op.

What she has not got she will probably order for you.

Dont know when you were last there, but Andrews went years ago; think you'll find its now a pub/bar or something of that ilk - like there arent enough already down West Street; surprised they can all make any money

Thanks for that. It probably is well over 5 years since I last went in there!

I'd also recommend Artwright (I think it's called), the one Dragon mentioned, by Hillsborough Park tramstop. Lorraine is lovely, and she also has courses running above her shop. Very friendly and helpful! :)

Yeah, just come back from town and as I was going to my allegedly eco-friendly and every other friendly sort of bank on West Street and as I had thought Andrews has definitely gone. Shame it was a very good art shop.
